Position Summary

AmeriVet Veterinary Partners is seeking a proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations across our growing network of veterinary practices. This role serves as a key partner to field leadership and clinic teams, delivering comprehensive HR support across employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and core HR programs.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in HR best practices, thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment, and is passionate about creating a positive and compliant workplace experience that supports both team members and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted HR partner and primary point of contact for employees and managers across assigned regions, providing timely guidance and support
Manage employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, resolving workplace concerns, and recommending appropriate, compliant solutions
Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and status changes, ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures
Partner with leadership on performance management processes, coaching conversations, and employee engagement initiatives
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure data integrity within the HRIS system
Support benefits administration, including employee education and responding to inquiries in a timely manner
Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and other HR teams to support evolving business needs
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes, enhancing employee experience, and driving organizational effectiveness

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
3–5+ years of progressive HR Generalist or related experience
Strong working knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
Experience supporting multi-site or field-based organizations preferred
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels
Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

PHR or SHRM-CP certification
Experience in healthcare, veterinary, or other multi-location environments
Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, or similar systems

This role will have a hybrid work schedule with up to 2-3 days in the office.
