HR Generalist

Join our team as an HR Generalist ! We’re searching for someone who is driven, people-focused, and ready to grow their HR career. What You’ll Do Assist and communicate with the HR Manager on day-to-day operations. Perform all phases of the payroll processing cycle and maintain payroll records for all assigned companies, internal and external. Conduct onboarding and offboarding in the HRIS. Meet with new hires to provide training on the HRIS self-service portal and meet with departing employees to conduct exit interviews. Ensure the HRIS captures all relevant data for employee profiles and payroll (wage changes, benefit enrollments, retirement elections, deductions, taxes, etc). Prepare reports, forms, audits, and surveys on a routine basis and as requested. Maintain employee handbook, recommending modifications where appropriate. Ensure timely distribution of changes to all employees. Stay informed of local, state and federal regulations for all states where the company employs personnel. Maintain payroll compliance with all applicable rules, including completion of required filings. Participate in numerous annual audits. Provide support and guidance to employees for all human resources related needs, including pay, benefits, retirement plan, taxes, leave of absence, etc. Monitor employee morale and company culture. Recommend employee programs to achieve work/life balance. Communicate with various stakeholders: retirement plan representatives, benefit brokers, software providers, external auditors, taxing authorities, etc. Provide support across the human resources department. What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience. 3+ years' experience preferred. Working knowledge of automated payroll systems and understanding of current payroll and human resources practices. ADP experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including fluency with excel formulas. Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks with accuracy and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive and personal matters. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Efficient written and verbal communication skills. Ability to operate computer equipment. Valid driver’s license. Ability to travel when necessary. This position is being hired with a flexible work location and may be filled at either an entry or skilled level, commensurate with experience.
