HR Data Coordinator (Temp)

MassDevelopment is the state’s development finance agency and land bank, dedicated to strengthening the Massachusetts economy. The HR Data Coordinator will support a short-term project focused on organizing and digitizing employee records, ensuring HR compliance and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Review and assess current HR filing systems (both digital and physical) to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement Audit and clean employee records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with retention policies Standardize file naming conventions and organize records into a clear, consistent structure Upload and migrate files into the HRIS or designated secure digital platform Establish organized folder structures and ensure all records are centralized and easy to access Conduct quality checks to verify data accuracy, proper categorization, and secure handling of sensitive information Create clear documentation outlining file structures, naming conventions, and best practices for ongoing use Provide regular progress updates and contribute to a final summary of completed work and recommendations for next steps Skills Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Human Resources, Information Science, Business Administration, a related field, or relevant experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage and maintain confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook) Comfort working with digital systems and willingness to learn HRIS platforms Strong time management skills and ability to follow structured processes Experience with data cleanup, records management, or system migrations Benefits Sick time is accrued in accordance with hours worked, in line with applicable policies.
