HR Data Analyst

About the Position

This position serves as both a Data Science Analyst and Business Analyst within the Division of State Human Resource Management, providing research, data analytics, and project support. The incumbent will identify and communicate data-driven insights that allow managers, stakeholders, and executives to make strategic business decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
? Contribute to the strategic direction of statewide projects by coordinating special initiatives, conducting research, gathering information, and reporting on project status.
? Design surveys, opinion polls, or other instruments to collect data.
? Work closely with vendors to review and provide feedback on work products.
? Develop software solutions to collect and analyze data.
? Develop information materials and respond to inquiries related to ongoing projects.
Data Analysis

Mine data and metadata from primary, secondary, and tertiary sources, then reorganize the data in a format that can be easily read. Clean and manipulate raw data using statistical software. Use statistical tools to interpret data sets and develop advanced quantitative models using various tools to support predictive assessments.
Reporting

Prepare reports and graphical presentations that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data. Assist with the preparation of the State's Annual Workforce Report.
Requirements
? At least 8-10 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably in Human Resources.
? Proficiency in Microsoft software, including Office, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
? Familiarity with data modeling and data architecture.
? Familiarity with data mining and data cleansing techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
? A bachelor's degree in a related field may be used to substitute for up to four years of required experience.
? Knowledge of the People First data warehouse.
