HR Coordinator

The HR Coordinator will provide comprehensive HR support, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, and employee communications, while fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture. Responsibilities Supporting full-cycle recruitment including application review, candidate outreach, and interview scheduling Attending job fairs and community recruitment events Conducting reference checks and managing pre-employment background checks Building relationships with universities and employment agencies Assisting with new hire paperwork and ensuring accurate, timely completion Setting up employee records in Paylocity, ChildPlus, and Bridge systems Coordinating new hire orientation logistics and welcome communications Distributing staff ID badges and maintaining organized personnel files Reviewing timesheets for completeness and accuracy Supporting payroll report review and error resolution Performing data entry for position updates and changes Serving as resource for employee timesheet and payroll questions Maintaining personnel files and licensing folders with strict confidentiality Tracking CPR certifications, staff physicals, DOT physicals, and driver abstracts Monitoring DPI licenses and WI Registry entries for teaching staff Recording continuing education completions and training records Serving as approachable frontline HR resource for staff questions Visiting program sites to represent HR and support positive employee experience Providing bilingual support for Spanish-speaking candidates and employees Communicating HR policies, benefits, and procedures clearly and warmly Skills Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 1 year in HR, administrative, or related support role (candidates with more experience encouraged to apply) Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with or ability to learn Paylocity HRIS Basic understanding of employment laws, benefits plans, FMLA, ADA, Leave of Absence Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking with competing deadlines, strict confidentiality, excellent communication skills Independent and collaborative work capabilities, warmth and cultural sensitivity, service orientation Working with families facing systemic barriers, poverty, housing insecurity, or economic hardship Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with reliable vehicle and adequate insurance Caregiver Background Check Physical examination Benefits Comprehensive Benefits Hybrid potential based on successful completion of introductory period Bilingual pay-differential Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Generous Paid Time Off & Holidays 403(b) Retirement with Company Match After 2 Years Company-Paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Flexible Spending Accounts Public Service Loan Forgiveness Eligible Employer Collaborative HR team environment with mentorship from HR Manager Cross-functional work with recruitment, payroll, compliance, and employee relations Site visits and community engagement opportunities Professional development in mission-driven, values-based organization Comprehensive professional development: ongoing coaching, paid continuing education, and credential support Career advancement pathways with organizational training support Company Overview Reach Dane is an organization that provides children and their families with a variety of child development and family support programs.
