Housekeeper/Laundry Services Provider

CSS is hiring housekeeping and laundry service staff to provide services for a hotel that includes a gymnasium, dining, outdoor amenities, offices, and utility spaces. The property is located in Van Horn, TX. Successful candidates will have reliable transportation to report for work per their daily schedule, be U.S. citizens or lawfully eligible to work in the United States, and pass a required criminal and drug background screening. CSS prefers candidates who have experience in residential or commercial settings where work has been performed in compliance with established quality control guidelines and customer service requirements. This property is pet friendly.

Candidates will be required to work 40 hours a week with flexible schedules that may require, weekends, evenings and holidays to accommodate customer requirements. Responsibilities:
• Collect all trash and dispose of it properly.
• Perform linen changes and tidy services.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and appliances.
• Clean and sanitize furniture and surfaces.
• Refill liquid and paper products.
• Arrange amenities in proper positions, set AC to designated temperature, ensure everything is in proper working condition. Responsible for reporting any issues for repair.
• Sweep, mop and sanitize, and vacuum as required.
• Sweep outside surrounding areas.
• Clean doors, windows, and stairs.
• Clean up spills, remove stains, and dust areas.
• Clean/sterilize drinking fountains and eyewash stations.
• Clean and polish stainless steel railings.
• Clean and disinfect common spaces, training rooms, exercise rooms, lockers, and pet areas.
• Perform routine deep cleaning services including but not limited to:
• Ozone/air filtration, ceiling fans, and AC filters
• Move furniture to clean underneath and behind.
• Baseboards and walls
• Rotate mattresses.
• Clean and remove bugs/debris from lights and other objects.
• Conduct room inspections per provided requirements.
• Perform cleaning of facility common areas including lobby, offices, storage rooms, laundry, and housekeeping rooms.
• Perform laundry services including but not limited to:
• Washing and drying linens, towels, curtains, etc.
• Folding, sorting, rotating, and organizing linens and products.
• Maintain and inventory cleaning supplies and other consumable products.
• Deep clean washers and dryers per schedule and report all repair needs promptly.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years residential or commercial housekeeping experience.
• Must be able to work some weekends and evenings.
• Must be able to become OSHA 10 certified prior to employment.
• Must be dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changes in work practices and schedules.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to apply, understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Must understand the requirements for and don the necessary personal protective equipment.
• Must demonstrate excellent work habits, good judgment, and exemplary customer service skills.
• Must be attentive to detail and perform repetitious work for long periods of time.
• Must be able to operate mechanical cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners, power sprayers.
• Must be able to understand and implement corrective practices resulting from quality control inspections.
• Must maintain a safe work environment by understanding and adhering to all safety data sheet instructions, employer and client-provided protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Must be dog friendly.

Requirements:
• Must have a reliable means of getting to and from work daily as scheduled.
• Must pass a criminal background check for the past seven years and identify all countries lived in the past seven years.
• Must pass a drug and alcohol screening prior to employment.
• Moderate physical activity is required. Requires handling of objects up to 25 pounds, standing and/or walking for more than six hours per day. Physical activity may include stair climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, and repetitive motion.
• Must be able to wear gloves, safety glasses, or other protective equipment to handle and dispose of hazardous cleaning or waste materials.
