Host Communications Strategy Lead

We're seeking a highly skilled and empathetic leader to drive communications and go-to-market strategies for global Host-facing campaigns. As a Host Communications Strategy Lead, you will play a crucial role in partnering with key product, policy, platform, customer service, and regional teams to oversee communications and campaigns targeted at Airbnb's community of hosts worldwide.
About the Role:
The Host Communications Team is the "last mile" voice of Airbnb to our host community, managing outbound communications in over 60 languages across various channels, including email, push, in-product, Host Resource Center, Community Center, and owned social channels. As a Host Communications Strategy Lead, you will report to the Director of Host Communications and serve as a champion for the host perspective inside Airbnb, helping internal teams effectively message new product features and policy decisions to our host audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and own positioning and launch communications plans for new features, products, and corporate/community updates
Establish engagement and business goals for key announcements and campaigns, working with analysts and data scientists to develop KPI and measurement frameworks
Build and execute campaigns, draft messaging frameworks and positioning decks, and oversee communications execution
Identify key audiences and segments, and develop plans to support these goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product design, content strategy, community, and marketing teams
Champion the community and user in all decisions, ensuring that their needs and perspectives are represented
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in marketing or communications at a world-class tech company or startup
Best-in-class verbal and written communication skills, with a strong writing background and editorial acumen
Ability to translate complex product features and community policies into clear, compelling narratives
Experience managing cross-functional teams, solving problems, and influencing stakeholders
Passion for Airbnb's mission and a deep understanding of our community
