Role Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing statistical support to multiple discovery, development, and product defense in Veterinary Medicine Research and Development. Responsibilities include:
ā¢ Identifying and implementing innovative approaches for design and analysis of clinical and laboratory trials.
ā¢ Reviewing statistical literature for practical implementation in animal health R&D programs.
ā¢ Participating on project teams and serving as a liaison between Statistics and other departmental groups.
ā¢ Assisting in the training of scientists in experimental design and related topics.
ā¢ Actively participating in group meetings to ensure a common approach is taken to handling clinical and laboratory tasks.
Qualifications
ā¢ MS in Biostatistics/Statistics or related field with at least 3+ years of direct work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
ā¢ PhD in Biostatistics/Statistics, preferably with experience.
Requirements
ā¢ Knowledge of data handling and statistical analysis programming in PC-SAS.
ā¢ Knowledge of experimental design, mixed linear and non-linear model methodologies, and categorical data analysis.
ā¢ Excellent oral and written communication and statistical consulting skills.
ā¢ Ability to critically review scientific publications.
ā¢ Highly organized, able to manage multiple simultaneous projects with significant attention to detail.
ā¢ Works well in a team environment.
ā¢ Core values of integrity and customer satisfaction.
ā¢ Ability to quickly learn domain knowledge to apply appropriate statistical approaches.
ā¢ Ability to work in ambiguous situations and influence others.
ā¢ Ability to develop training programs and mentor others.
Benefits
ā¢ The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000 - $180,000.
ā¢ This position is also eligible for short-term incentive compensation.
ā¢ This position is also eligible for long-term incentives.
