Role Description
This role involves leading large and complex projects that span multiple disciplines. The Principal Consultant works with clients, product manufacturers, contractors, and other design team members to take each project from start to finish with limited direction.
ā¢ Provide detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and report information to the client.
ā¢ Delegate work effectively and promote teamwork.
ā¢ Mentor less senior staff and develop relationships with clients leading to repeat business.
ā¢ Collaborate with Marketing on the pursuit and interview process.
ā¢ Participate in the TEECOMuniversity in-house training program.
ā¢ Potential additional responsibility as Team Lead or Discipline Lead.
Qualifications
ā¢ BS in Engineering (electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
ā¢ Minimum of eight years of discipline design for facilities construction projects.
ā¢ Experience with Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit), Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and G Suite.
ā¢ Certifications: RCDD, PE is required.
Requirements
ā¢ Knowledge of the AEC industry and the design and construction of technology systems.
ā¢ Ability to deliver system designs using an engineering approach.
ā¢ Experience with large and complex construction projects ($500,000+ TEECOM fee).
ā¢ Expert in specific discipline.

ā¢ Established as an internal mentor and guides less senior staff.
ā¢ Manage successful internal project team (on time, on budget, positive client feedback).
ā¢ Gain repeat clients.
ā¢ Quarterly reviews are completed on schedule.
ā¢ 5% or less of engineering change order errors.
ā¢ Utilization equals 85%.
ā¢ Average hours worked is between 40 and 50 hours per week.
ā¢ Achieve goals from the Performance Plan each quarter.
ā¢ Accounts Receivable (AR) over 90 days is less than 10% of the total AR.
ā¢ Project stale dates are less than 3% in Vision.
ā¢ Projects are 100% scheduled in Asana.
ā¢ Actively engage with GitHub repositories and other pertinent platforms.
