Position Overview:
Special Strong is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented in-house bookkeeper to manage the companys financial transactions and records on a remote basis. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, maintain organized records, and support compliance with accounting standards. This role is perfect for a professional with bookkeeping experience who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Management
 Maintain accurate financial records for all transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
 Record journal entries and reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts.
 Prepare and maintain financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
 Process invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements efficiently.
 Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables.
 Manage vendor and customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Reconciliations
 Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other ledgers.
 Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly.
Compliance & Reporting
 Ensure compliance with tax laws and reporting requirements.
 Assist with preparation for audits and tax filings.
 Provide financial data and insights to support leadership decisions.
Process Improvement
 Streamline and optimize bookkeeping processes.
 Implement and manage financial software to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
 Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
 Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar tools.
 Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks remotely.
 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
 Preferred but not required: Certification such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
Work Arrangement & Pay:
 Fully remote position.
 Part-time, 1015 hours per week.
 Pay: $23$30/hour depending on experience.
 Flexible working hours to accommodate workload and deadlines.
