Job Title: Business Analyst Consultant Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: The Business Analyst will be responsible for working on project teams with project managers and other staff or independently to: • Document processes and procedures for various areas of projects with state agencies. • Analyze processes and propose improvements in support of continuous improvement activities. • Conduct requirements gathering, elicitation, analysis and management for projects • Conduct needs assessments or gap analyses for projects. • Support stakeholder management with project managers • Lead testing and solution/product validation in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) when needed • Plan for testing activities • Lead testing activities • Track and manage testing activities • Other duties as assigned Required skills (rank in order of importance): • Ability to take complicated processes and document them in MS Visio or MS word. • Requirements gathering, elicitation and documentation. • Analysis of processes and continuous improvement. • Testing of systems and bug/defect tracking. • Excellent communication skills. • Excellent problem-solving skills.
