Role Description Fixpoint is hiring Medical Transcriptionists for a research project at a leading AI company. You will use your expertise to explain the challenges and skillsets of your job, explain what excellence looks like in your profession, and design questions related to your occupation as a Medical Transcriptionist. • Return dictated reports in printed or electronic form for physician's review, signature, and corrections and for inclusion in patients' medical records. • Produce medical reports, correspondence, records, patient-care information, statistics, medical research, and administrative material. • Identify mistakes in reports and check with doctors to obtain the correct information. • Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology. • Transcribe dictation for a variety of medical reports, such as patient histories, physical examinations, emergency room visits, operations, chart reviews, consultation, or discharge summaries. Qualifications • 5+ years full-time work experience in Health Care and Social Assistance. • Native-level English skills. • U.S. residency. • Access to a laptop or desktop computer and reliable internet. • Availability for at least 10 hours per week during the 3- to 4-week engagement (work is fully asynchronous and on your own schedule). Requirements • Hourly pay: $25 – $52, commensurate with experience and project fit. • Hourly rate may be higher for exception candidates. • Paid weekly via Fixpoint, based on approved hours. • You will be classified as 1099 independent-contractor status; engagement is at-will. • Entirely remote; work whenever you like as long as deadlines are met.
