Role Description

Position: Public Health Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $45ā$65/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
ā¢ Build a realistic digital workspace centered on the Drive folders you use daily, including:
ā¢ Surveillance summaries
ā¢ Grant applications
ā¢ Program evaluations
ā¢ Health-assessment reports
ā¢ Design multi-step tasks based on real workflows, requiring navigation of multiple apps, files, and stakeholders to challenge frontier AI agents.
ā¢ Collaborate with other public-health experts to design the environment and shape task scope, reviewing scenarios for realism and rigor.
ā¢ Work asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and evaluation criteria for public-health agent benchmarks.
ā¢ Contribute to frontier AI research and benchmarking, informing how leading labs train and evaluate the next generation of AI systems.
Qualifications
ā¢ Must-Have:
ā¢ 3+ years of full-time experience at a federal health agency, large state/county health department, major academic school of public health, or F500 population-health organization.
ā¢ Background in epidemiology, surveillance, outbreak investigation, health policy, or program evaluation.
ā¢ Day-to-day use of Esri ArcGIS, Google Maps Platform, SAS, MATLAB, and Socrata/Esri ArcGIS Hub.
ā¢ Strong analytical thinking and writing skills.
ā¢ Preferred:
ā¢ MPH, PhD, or DrPH.
ā¢ Fluency in biostatistics or GIS.
