Role Description
This role involves working as a Medical Editor/Transcriptionist in a fast-paced environment focused on radiology.
β’ Produce high-quality medical reports and records within turnaround time expectations using knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
β’ Recognize, identify, and correct discrepancies and errors in dictations and ordered examinations.
β’ Monitor transcription applications and manage multiple worklists; troubleshoot system problems and correct or escalate to appropriate staff.
β’ Stay abreast of new medical terminology, procedures, medications, and other medical language using online and hard-copy resources.
Qualifications
β’ Minimum 3 yearsβ experience in a healthcare setting required.
β’ Certificate or training in anatomy and medical terminology required.
β’ Previous transcription, scribe, or clinical charting experience preferred. Radiology transcription is a plus.
β’ High school graduate or GED.
Requirements
β’ Must have a high-speed internet connection and be able to connect a Radia supplied computer via Ethernet.
β’ A test of adequate internet speed to run Radia applications will be required prior to hire.
