[Hiring] Infusion Patient Prior Authorization Specialist @OI Infusion Services
Role Description
The Patient Intake Coordinator will work with patients and insurance providers to perform pre-certification and insurance verifications for infusion services.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour (DOE)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
β’ Performs pre-certification and obtains authorizations and referrals as required by payor guidelines and in accordance with OI Infusion procedures.
β’ Verifying all information on authorization requests are accurate and received/process by insurance companies accordingly.
β’ Gathers medical documentation to support the patients' treatments for further review.
β’ Manages treatment schedule to ensure patientsβ authorizations will be completed timely and treatments will remain undisrupted.
β’ Reviews and approves assigned orders utilizing department guidelines.
Qualifications
β’ 1-2 years of insurance verification experience in the medical field.
β’ Obsessive focus on patient-experience.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent in English both verbal and written).
β’ Organizational skills.
β’ Attention to detail.
β’ Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
