Role Description
Are you a college graduate who is passionate about lifting other students as you climb your own ladder of success? You could inspire the next generation by becoming a college coach.
ā¢ Work with up to 450 college students virtually ā by phone, text messaging, email, and social media.
ā¢ Help students navigate the beginning of their college career and achieve their dream of earning a degree.
ā¢ Use academic and personal experiences, as well as Beyond 12's coaching curriculum, to assist students in:
ā¢ Setting goals
ā¢ Creating education plans
ā¢ Navigating financial aid
ā¢ Building relationships
ā¢ Managing time effectively
ā¢ Track and document data about students' progress.
ā¢ Help the organization understand college persistence and graduation trends.
Qualifications
ā¢ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
ā¢ 1-2 years of post-college professional experience, which may or may not be in the coaching field.
ā¢ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
ā¢ Demonstrated prioritization and time-management skills.
ā¢ Experience with documenting and assessing data, and providing reviews or insights.
ā¢ Strong desire to learn about education technology and college student success best practices.
ā¢ Familiarity with Google Suite (e.g., Google Docs, Google Calendar, Google Sheets).
Requirements
ā¢ Must reside in the region they support:
ā¢ Atlanta Program: Must be based in GA
ā¢ Chicago Program: Must be based in IL
ā¢ Bay Area Program: Open to candidates based in California and other West Coast states
ā¢ Schedule: 5-day workweek with specific hours:
ā¢ 3 days per week: 9 am - 6 pm local time
ā¢ 2 days per week: 11 am - 8 pm local time
ā¢ One Saturday each month: 9 am - 6 pm local time
