Role Description
This role provides intake support for the claims department, coordinating communications and ensuring timely review, assignment, or response to emails. Responsibilities include:
ā¢ Reviewing claim submissions for accuracy and loading them into the claims system
ā¢ Checking the status of claims
ā¢ Providing customer service to clients and partners
ā¢ Processing mail, email, and faxes to maintain departmental productivity, quality, and timeliness standards
ā¢ Assisting in preparing financial data associated with refunds, recoupments, adjustments, and reissues
ā¢ Maintaining logs and filing systems
ā¢ Coordinating communication between reinsurance companies and various internal and external areas
ā¢ Reviewing documentation for completeness and determining benefits
ā¢ Requesting additional information when needed
ā¢ Documenting process changes accurately
ā¢ Ensuring effective customer relations by responding accurately and courteously to inquiries
Qualifications
ā¢ High School Diploma or equivalent
ā¢ 1 year customer service or administrative experience
ā¢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ā¢ Good human relations skills
ā¢ Strong research ability
ā¢ Ability to function in a high-pressure environment with minimum supervision
ā¢ Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
ā¢ Strong organizational skills
ā¢ Proven customer service skills
ā¢ Good judgment
ā¢ Proficient spelling, punctuation, grammar, and basic math skills
