Highway Engineer - Entry Level
SEH is an employee-owned engineering company seeking a Highway Engineer - Entry Level to join their Transportation team. The role involves collaborating on various projects that positively impact communities and utilizing cutting-edge technology in highway design and construction. Responsibilities Opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects under engineers who are experts in their fields You can have a hand in improving your community, experience the consulting side of the engineering industry, and use cutting edge technology Typical projects may include roadways, intersections, roundabouts, bridges, trails, transportation planning studies, environmental reviews, 3D modeling, storm sewer design, traffic signal design, and hydraulic design for county, state, and federal clients Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Occasional overnight travel will be required Basic skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software Must reside in the state of Minnesota or Iowa Ability to report into the St. Paul, MN or Des Moines, IA office a couple of days per week Relevant municipal street design and construction administration experience Strong ability to work in a team environment Experience in highway design and construction of MNDOT projects Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of InRoads, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software design packages Benefits Being 100% employee-owned means we all share in the company’s success Career development through continued education, licensure/certification, skills, and technical training Work arrangements that promote work/life balance Flexible holidays enable individuals to tailor their festivities Paid Family Leave provides time to care for loved ones, whether family by birth or family by choice Company Overview SEH is an civil engineering firm.
