Heavy Equipment Operator

What You'll Be Doing You'll be at the heart of our operation-keeping materials flowing and the yard running smoothly: Operate heavy equipment like a pro (material handlers, loaders, forklifts, skid steers & more) Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely Move and organize scrap materials for processing and recycling Perform pre- and post-trip equipment inspections (because safety starts with you) Spot maintenance issues early and communicate with our maintenance team Follow safety protocols like it's second nature Deliver a "WOW" customer experience to drivers, vendors, and teammates Jump in where needed-because teamwork is how we win What Makes You a Great Fit We're not just hiring skills-we're hiring mindset: 2+ years of heavy equipment experience Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments (a plus) Strong work ethic-you don't cut corners Reliable and dependable-your team counts on you Safety-first mentality Physically capable (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing in/out of equipment) Positive attitude and team-player mindset Customer-service oriented (yes-even in the yard, it matters) Why Metro Group?
