Healthcare EDI Integration & Automation Engineer - Visual Cron (or similar)
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare EDI Integration & Automation Engineer - Visual Cron (or similar) to support and enhance a complex data integration, file transfer, and automation environment. This is a fully remote contract role; East Coast-based candidates are preferred.
What You'll Do
ā¢ The team is looking for someone hands-on who can help stabilize and improve a large-scale Secure FTP environment supporting roughly 250 trading partners and 500 technical events per day.
ā¢ Support and maintain enterprise file transfer and data integration processes.
ā¢ Troubleshoot issues across automation workflows, integrations, and data exchange platforms.
ā¢ Enhance and optimize automated workflows, monitoring, and alerting capabilities.
ā¢ Review and support existing .NET applications, services, and integrations.
ā¢ Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation processes.
ā¢ Partner with business and technical teams to identify process improvements and implement scalable solutions.
ā¢ Improve system reliability, operational efficiency, and overall integration performance.
ā¢ Assist with modernization initiatives and long-term platform enhancements.
Qualifications
ā¢ 5+ years of experience supporting integrations, automation platforms, or data exchange environments.
ā¢ SFTP/MFT, Visual Cron (or similar) experience
ā¢ Healthcare or TPA domain experience is preferred, particularly HIPAA-aware file transfer practices and exposure to EDI formats such as 834 enrollments or 837 claims.
ā¢ Strong experience with enterprise file transfer technologies and workflow automation tools.
ā¢ VisualCron (or similar) automation experience, especially Flow Control, MFT triggers for incoming SFTP files, and API integrations within the tool
ā¢ Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and SQL and API development.
ā¢ Experience troubleshooting complex integrations and data processing workflows.
ā¢ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
ā¢ Ability to work independently and navigate complex environments with limited documentation.
ā¢ Experience in healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
ā¢ Exposure to EDI transactions, data security, and compliance requirements preferred.
