Title: Health Plan Specialist Location: 100% Remote | Candidates must reside within 50 miles Omaha, Nebraska Job Type: Contract (7 months) Compensation: $21.00 per hour + $1 shift differential (shifts ending at or after 6:30pm) Industry: Health Insurance Schedule: • Required Availability: Monday – Friday 8am-9pm CST • Training: 8am – 4:30pm CST (first 4-6 weeks) --- Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery. • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset in every interaction. • Utilize online tools and multiple applications to efficiently resolve member concerns. • Maintain ownership of each case from start to finish, ensuring complete documentation and follow-through. • Assist members with benefit inquiries, enrollment questions, and issue resolution. • Handle 100% inbound customer service calls (approximately 50–70 calls/day during peak season). Qualifications Required Qualifications • Ability to explain complex information in a clear and empathetic manner. • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Strong attendance record and reliability. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Proficiency in navigating multi-screen workstations and using multiple applications simultaneously. • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. • High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with CRM or call center software platforms. • Customer Service experience in a Healthcare related setting (highly preferred). • Demonstrated interest in career growth within healthcare or insurance services. • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) is a plus. • Experience supporting Open Enrollment or similar high-volume seasonal operations. • Prior experience in a healthcare or insurance-related customer service role.
