Health Insurance Customer Care Specialist (Remote IL or IN)

Our client a busy Medical Insurance Company, is currently looking to hire an experienced remote temporary possibly temporary to hire full-time Medicare Benefits Customer Care Specialists.

Medicare Claims & Benefits knowledge, and related customer service call center experience are required. NOT Medicare Advantage experience.

Computer equipment a laptop, and a headset will be provided by our client.

You must secure your own reliable high-speed Internet.

This is a temporary full-time remote contract position with long-term temporary-to-hire potential.

Monday-Friday Full-Time (8:45am to 5:00pm) with one 15-minute break and a 45-minute unpaid lunch.

Job Responsibilities
β€’ Respond to all incoming phone calls related to claim status inquiries from insureds and providers.
β€’ Document brief description of calls on the CAMS and CAPS systems.
β€’ Make outbound calls as needed to support returned checks and resolve claim inquiries.
β€’ Refer claims that were improperly handled to the Claim Supervisor for immediate attention.
β€’ Fulfill claim form requests for plans not administered by our insurance.
β€’ Communicate with insurance carriers or service providers as needed in order to provide feedback on claims administered by carriers.
β€’ Process changes to CAMS System, including personal and coverage information; send confirmation of additions, deletions, and/or any changes to coverage as needed.
β€’ Handle waiver of premium transactions, cancellations due to death, and other claims related transactions.

Job Requirements
β€’ Minimum of 2 years’ of recent experience in an insurance call center environment specializing in Medicare Benefits NOT Medicare Advantage.
β€’ Illinois Insurance Producers License for Life and Health Insurance is preferred.
β€’ Experience with Medicare Benefits is required.
β€’ Call center experience is required.
β€’ Excellent telephone skills including proper telephone technique.
β€’ A team player who displays problem-solving and analytical skills.
