We are tackling two core problems in computer vision for the industrial world: real-world data shortages (leading to long data collection time) and the fact that <.3% of factory workers can use existing vision systems (blocking them from scaling). We have already solved the first problem: our synthetic data generation platform allows our Fortune 500 customers to reduce data collection time by >90% and see up to 300% improvement in model performance in <6 hours. The next evolution of our product is tackling scalability. As our head of engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's technical direction. Your hands-on involvement will include:Lead and scale a small team of ML and generalist engineersBuild our core product and scale our platform into the hands of some of the largest companies in the worldContribute heavily to the architectural roadmap, laying out the foundation for the Advex platformCollaborate with our founder on product direction, customer needs, and hiring.We are looking for stellar individuals who can lead, are autonomous, and can make decisions with limited information.About YouWe are seeking a candidate who embodies the following qualifications and characteristics:5+ years engineering experience, including shipping production ML and CV systemsProven ability to lead and hire teamsProven ability to translate product requirements into technical roadmapsPrior startup experienceDeep knowledge of Python, ML infra, and cloud deployment (GCP preferred)Proven track record of rapidly delivering complex projects within tight deadlinesStrong bias for actionBonus: background in scaling or working adjacent to VLMs or generative vision models.Note: we are a company founded by immigrants, and we are committed to providing support to immigrant workers throughout their journey.
