This role includes managing a team of designers and promoting a culture of innovation. Our product’s focus on quantitative insights requires a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and data. You will report to the Head of Product and collaborate across departments to ensure our design approach meets user needs and business goals.Responsibilities:Oversee the overarching UI/UX of the product, while going deep on certain projectsManage, role model, and mentor a team of IC DesignersCreate and uphold design best practices, and manage complex, cross-functional projectsDrive vision for product language and content across our platformPrioritize effectively, use data to inform your decisions, weigh the impact and tradeoffs of decisions, and seek input where needed to drive alignment on conflicting priorities.Turn complex solutions into elegant user experiencesQualificationsTrack record of delivering results in a fast-moving, startup or growth phase environment8+ years experience in Product/UX Design Proven experience in tackling complex data challenges, with the ability to translate intricate data concepts into intuitive and effective design solutionsExperience managing design systems or working closely with design system ownersStrong relationship building skills; experience managing stakeholders and cross-functional partnersAbility to communicate effectively with different functional groups: engineers, scientists, stakeholders, and senior business leadersAbout YouDone is better than perfect - you take small flawed steps rather than large precise leaps toward solutions.Act like an owner - you share responsibility with the team and do what you can to achieve success.
