Head of Computational Biology
We are looking for a senior data scientist with a strong technical background to lead our advanced algorithms team. You will translate product concepts into technical problem formulations and guide your team of data scientists and ML engineers in developing and productionizing solutions. The ideal candidate has great mathematical intuition, deep knowledge of single cell/spatial omic data, and experience in implementing modern computational tools.
What you will be working on
• Lead creative vision of our computational platform in coordination with C-suite.
• Formulate complex clinical problems into solvable algorithmic challenges.
• Lead development of new analytical methods and multimodal data integration.
• Increase computational performance, accuracy, and scalability of our platform.
• Seek actionable insights and ontological frameworks using novel approaches.
• Help identify and source diverse training data for developing predictive models.
• Establish rigorous validation frameworks and benchmarks.
• Stay at the forefront of advances in single-cell and spatial omics data science.
What you should know or have
• PhD or MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience analyzing single-cell and spatial sequencing data.
• Track record of developing data pipelines for single-cell/spatial sequencing.
• Experience in developing advanced algorithms including deep learning, probabilistic modeling, and unsupervised learning techniques.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and ability to steer direction of multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers.
