Head Bookkeeper & Payroll

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Head Bookkeeper & Payroll to join our Finance team and help support our financial operations in our Tel Aviv office. This role is ideal for someone passionate about full-cycle bookkeeping in a global, fast-paced environment. You’ll ensure accurate records, optimize financial processes, and help maintain compliance with local regulations.In this role you'llManage day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliationsPrepare and record journal entries as well as maintain accounting schedules for month-end and year-end close (including accruals, payroll, depreciation, and prepaids)Oversee statutory filings such as VAT, withholding tax, and social securityEnsure the accuracy of financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet)Support implementation and optimization of ERP systems and financial workflowsWork closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure smooth audits and accurate reportingIdentify opportunities for automation and improved reporting processesAssist with ad-hoc financial projects and analysisWhat you'll needCertified Bookkeeper Type 3, required10+ years of bookkeeping experience, including global and multi-currency environmentsSolid understanding of payroll processes and local tax regulations (VAT, social security, withholding, etc.)Full-cycle bookkeeping experience: AP, AR, reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, accounting schedules and journal entriesProficiency in Excel and strong analytical and organizational skillsFluent in Hebrew and English (written and spoken)Strong communication skills and a collaborative approachExperience with Workday, SAP, Hashavit, or similar systems, plus background in tech/public companies or additional languages, a plusAbility to work in an office environment a minimum of 3 days a weekEnthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI – a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture
