Role Overview We’re hiring a Head, Agentic AI Engineer to support the development of intelligent agents that power our AI pipeline. You’ll work alongside experienced AI engineers and platform developers to design, implement, and evaluate task-specific agents that automate complex ML operations. You’ll build tools that help agents reason across clinical data modalities, interact with modeling services, and support human-in-the-loop decision making. This role is perfect for someone with a deep interest in AI systems, orchestration, and healthcare impact. Key Responsibilities Agent Development & Workflow Integration • Help design and implement autonomous agents that support tasks such as feature curation, pipeline orchestration, and model validation • Develop modular prompts, reasoning chains, and decision graphs tailored to healthcare use cases • Work with APIs like Google’s Agent Builder to implement goal-driven logic Agent-Model Interaction • Enable agents to interface with model development tools (e.g., trigger Vertex AI pipelines, monitor training jobs, run evaluation scripts) • Assist in integrating LLM-based agents with retrieval tools, structured inputs, and downstream ML systems • Create lightweight interfaces for agents to generate and revise structured outputs (e.g., model cards, ICD mappings, report summaries) Tooling & Monitoring • Develop tools that track agent behavior, log reasoning traces, and ensure output safety and interpretability • Set up agent testing harnesses and benchmarks across synthetic and real clinical scenarios • Support workflows where agents collaborate with humans (e.g., clinicians validating model predictions) Collaboration & Learning • Partner with AI/ML, MLOps, and platform teams to co-develop agent workflows • Contribute to the refinement of Nimblemind’s agent framework, prompt libraries, and routing logic • Participate in stand-ups, reviews, and design discussions focused on scalable, secure, and explainable agent design Preferred Qualifications • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field • Interest in intelligent agents, orchestration frameworks, or multi-step reasoning workflows • Familiarity with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (e.g., GCP, Vertex AI, LangChain, ADK) • Curiosity about healthcare data, clinical workflows, or multimodal reasoning • Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or MedLM) and agent toolkits (AgentBuilder, AutoGen, LangGraph, CrewAI) • Understanding of chain-of-thought reasoning, prompt tuning, or context window management • Exposure to structured healthcare data (e.g., EMR, labs, diagnoses) or unstructured inputs (e.g., clinical notes, wearable summaries) • Familiarity with evaluation metrics for agent correctness, latency, or failure modes Why Join Nimblemind.ai? • Be part of a mission-driven company shaping the future of healthcare. • Lead the development of groundbreaking products while contributing directly to their design & creation. • Collaborate with a world-class team of healthcare and technology innovators. • Competitive compensation package, including equity in a fast-growing startup.
