Hardware Security Module (HSM) Modernization Consultant, Remote Role, 2 Years Contract
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support the consolidation and modernization of HSM infrastructure.
• Work hands-on with Thales and FutureX HSMs, including integration, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to migrate from legacy HSMs to a unified platform.
• Support Client's proprietary master key management application that interfaces with the HSMs.
• Stay informed on quantum computing implications for cryptographic systems and contribute to future-proofing strategies.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices throughout the engagement.
Qualifications:
• 5 9+ years of experience working with HSMs, cryptographic key management, or secure infrastructure.
• Deep expertise with Thales and/or FutureX HSMs.
• Familiarity with the full HSM lifecycle: procurement, deployment, key management, compliance, and decommissioning.
• Understanding of quantum-safe cryptography concepts is a strong plus.
• Experience in financial services or payment processing environments is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
