About the Role
As a Senior Security Engineer, Offensive Security Penetration Testing, you will be responsible for leading high-quality application penetration tests independently, or as part of a team. You will create detailed engagement plans and thoroughly document findings, gaps, and remediation recommendations. You will also develop and implement improvements to team tooling, innovation, and processes, and influence team strategy, direction, and priorities.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading high-quality application penetration tests independently, or as part of a team
Creating detailed engagement plans and thoroughly documenting findings, gaps, and remediation recommendations
Developing and implementing improvements to team tooling, innovation, and processes
Influencing team strategy, direction, and priorities
Advancing strategic initiatives by influencing leadership, key stakeholders, and partnering with teams throughout Amazon
Leading effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
Communicating and collaborating with partner teams, service owners, Information Security, and senior leadership to influence, prioritize, and drive the resolution of discovered security findings

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:

5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer (such as application security, penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, etc.)
A BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technology degrees, or 8+ years of equivalent technology experience
Experience with various threat modeling methodologies, coding skills, and strong communication skills
Secure software development lifecycle experience
Knowledge of distributed systems and security protocols
Experience briefing senior leaders
