All Jobs > Technical Writer GXM Technologies LLC Apply Technical Writer Fully Remote • Remote Apply Job Type Part-time Description GXM is seeking a Technical Writer to support the development, maintenance, and delivery of enterprise-level technical documentation for systems currently under development in support of government programs. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with various in-house and external technical teams to produce clear, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with program requirements and established standards. This is a part-time position, averaging approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility based on program needs for surge requirements when necessary. The role requires a mid-level professional capable of working independently while contributing to a larger program with cross-functional teams. This position may support efforts requiring eligibility for a security clearance. Responsibilities Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and technical reports Collaborate with engineers, developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather, analyze, and validate technical information Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible documents in the defined format, by the timeline established and at the quality level articulated Ensure documentation complies with program standards, style guides, and contractual requirements Support documentation planning activities, including identifying documentation requirements and organizing content structure Maintain documentation repositories and ensure proper version control Incorporate diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to enhance documentation clarity and usability Requirements Required Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be U.S.-based Must be willing and able to pass a background check Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience 3–6 years of technical writing experience supporting technical or software-based systems Experience developing documentation for complex or enterprise-level systems Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills Experience with documentation tools (e.g, Confluence, SharePoint, MadCap Flare, or similar) Desired Experience supporting federal government programs Familiarity with Agile or iterative development environments Experience producing documentation in compliance-driven or regulated environments Experience developing visual documentation artifacts (e.g., system diagrams, workflows, architecture overviews) Active or recent security clearance Equal Employment Opportunity / Legal Disclaimer GXM Technologies LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.
