Hello Hope you are doing great, Job Title: GTRI Digital Transformation Technology Architect/Application Architect Location: Remote Contract: Long Term Job Description: Supervises the installation, configuration, and support to a local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices. Recommends equipment improvement or replacement. The Georgia Tech Research Institute seeks a highly skilled and experienced Technology Architect to join our Digital Transformation team and help lead our modernization efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and implementing the migration of our software development teams to newer architectures, approaches, and standards. This role is critical in shaping our technology roadmap and ensuring our systems are modern, scalable and efficient. Responsibilities and Duties: • Lead the architectural design and implementation of new systems and technology upgrades • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural best practices • Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to support business objectives • Define and document application architecture standards and best practices • Lead and participate in architectural discussions and decisions • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in application architecture Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field • 10 years of experience in application architecture, design, and development • Expertise in Spring Boot, Python, Angular, Vue, React, or similar technologies • Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure • Strong understanding of design patterns and architectural principles • Experience with modern software development methodologies (Agile and DevOps) • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Experience in leading and mentoring development teams • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities This position is 100% remote. Out of state candidates are accepted.
