Graphics Coordinator — 2022-23 School Year

As Student Voice’s Graphic Designer, you will play a key role in the creation of a cohesive, engaging brand for the organization’s work. You will design graphic assets for Student Voice’s website, social media and press materials, and play a particularly large role in creating socially impactful branding for Student Voice’s rapid-response communications campaigns. The Graphic Designer works in conjunction with the Communications Director, the communications team and the Student Voice team at large.
Responsibilities:
• Create graphic assets for Student Voice’s social media, webpage, resource library and more
• Familiar with professional graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud; does not rely on basic-level tools such as Canva to create designs
• Work closely with the Student Voice team and communications staff in particular to ideate and execute graphic vision and strategy
• Design visually engaging and appealing branding for rapid-response communications campaigns in collaboration with the communications team
• Ensure Student Voice’s content is cohesive and aligns with the organization’s brand, mission and values
• Become familiar with and contribute to Student Voice’s values and theory of changeCommunicating with team members via Slack & email
• Attending weekly team calls
• Collaborating with other programs and the communications team
• Consulting partner organizations on authentic youth engagement through
• Student Voice Strategizing projects
• Co-designing national campaigns as needs arise

Requirements:
• Has at least 5-10 hrs/week of dedicated work time
• The capacity to create graphic assets rapidly in order to fit the needs of Student Voice’s rapidly changing work
• Interest in current developments in education and knowledge to strategically position Student Voice ahead of the news cycle
• Is detail-oriented and highly adaptive
• Willingness to learn about and commit to Student Voice’s shared team values
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to be highly responsive in a remote setting
• Possesses a growth mindset
