Graphic Designer / Production Artist

Location: Remote Status: Freelance ~20 hours / week Department: Creative Reports to: VP. Creative Services and Production About the Role We’re looking for a versatile Mid-Level Designer / Production Artist to join our collaborative creative team. This role bridges design and production execution, ensuring creative ideas are brought to life with precision, consistency, and craft across all media. You’ll work closely with art directors and copywriters to design and produce assets for digital, print, and social, for a variety of clients—including government and commercial sectors. Responsibilities · Design and produce high-quality visual assets across digital, print, social, and out-of-home. · Execute layout, typography, and image based on established brand guidelines and campaign concepts. · Adapt and resize creative assets for multiple channels and formats while maintaining visual integrity. · Prepare final production-ready files for print and digital delivery, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with specs. · Collaborate with creative leads to translate conceptual designs into fully realized executions. · Maintain and organize design files, templates, and production libraries. · Support 508-compliant and accessibility requirements for government-facing materials. · Perform light photo retouching, color correction, and image optimization. · Work within tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Stay current on design tools, production best practices, and emerging creative technologies. · Create PowerPoint presentations and templates Qualifications · 3–5 years of professional experience in a design or production artist role, preferably at an agency or in-house creative team. · Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), PowerPoint; familiarity with Figma a plus. · Strong understanding of layout, color, typography, and visual hierarchy. · Experience preparing both print and digital deliverables, including press-ready and pixel-perfect files. · Working knowledge of 508 accessibility standards and accessible design best practices a plus. · Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality. · Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment. · Ability to handle feedback constructively and iterate quickly.
