Join our team and play a crucial role in driving financial success for our network companies!Position:GL Accountant Responsibilities Responsible for recording financial transactions in the accounting systems for multiple client companies.Posts customer payments and maintains an up-to-date Accounts receivable aging report, as necessary.Records vendor invoices in client’s accounting system, uses accounting judgement to code expenses to proper ledger accounts, obtains authorization to pay, and schedules payments in automated payable system.Reconciles bank records to the general ledger accounts.Processes online payroll and records transactions in proper ledger accounts.Files sales and property tax as needed.Perform other accounting tasks as needed by individual clients.Diligently and accurately record time spent on multiple client engagements for budgeting and billing purposes. Requirements Located in either Eastern or Central Standard Time ZonesDegree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of accounting and/or full charge bookkeeping experienceWorking knowledge of accrual basis accounting and payroll requirementsExperience with QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting automation tools.Proficiency with Microsoft365 suite of productsExcellent communication and time management skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize workCritical thinker capable of initiating process improvements and problem-solvingFlexibility to manage multiple tasks and shift between prioritiesAbility to work independently as a condition of remote based workEnthusiastic, inquisitive and desire to learn a broad range of topicsA creative mindset with an ability to suggest improvements.
