GIS Developer SME (Remote)
About the position GovCIO is seeking a GIS Developer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the development and implementation of an integrated GIS solution within an existing end-user system. This fully remote position is aimed at candidates located within the Continental United States (CONUS) and involves significant collaboration and technical expertise in GIS technologies. Responsibilities • Participate in the design and requirements gathering for a GIS integration with an existing end-user system • Lead the implementation of a GIS integration, including supporting other developers on the effort • Use data from existing system to create, populate, and manipulate map-based visualizations of that data • Training and Support of GIS users • Act as a General SME for GIS Technologies Requirements • Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of experience or commensurate experience • Experience in GIS-based technology development and implementation (both back-end and front-end) • Ability to leverage large datasets integrated with GIS technology • Experience in teaching or coaching others in GIS technology Nice-to-haves • Javascript development experience • ServiceNow development experience Apply tot his job
