Geotechnical Engineer

Campos EPC is an established Industry Leader in the Utility, Energy and Midstream sectors, delivering engineering design and consulting services. They are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer I and II to design and execute geotechnical projects, perform field explorations, and analyze geotechnical data. Responsibilities Perform geotechnical analysis and studies to assess potential mitigation options for geohazards including seismic analysis, karst evaluation, etc Plan and conduct geotechnical explorations. Perform appropriate calculations for the design of foundations, retaining walls, horizontal directional drills, and slope stability Assist in developing proposals and determine cost and schedule for investigations Provide direction to technical team in field inspection activities Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned project on-time Assist Program Manager in design and evaluation of construction documents and projects Develop design drawings and specifications for construction projects Review and approve geotechnical designs developed by outside consultants Review construction design proposals and approve geotechnical aspects Evaluate team performance and determine training needs to meet performance objectives Skills Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship BS in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering or related field Knowledge and understanding of industry codes and standards FE required, PE highly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is important Time management and organizational skills and the ability to deal effectively with stressful situations Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
