Job Description SEMCO - GIS
Specialist SEMCO is seeking a strategic and technically skilled GIS & Enterprise Portal Administrator to oversee the governance, performance, and evolution of our enterprise GIS systems. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, availability, and advancement of GIS technology and data across the organization. You'll lead the administration of our enterprise portal, manage utility network configurations, and drive continuous improvements in asset modeling and geospatial analytics. ā¢This role is based in Port Huron, Michigan, with a Hybrid Schedule of three days in the officeā¢ You will: Develop and implement enterprise GIS strategies aligned with business goals. Lead the execution of the GIS program and provide direction to Managed Service Providers. Establish and enforce GIS data standards, governance frameworks, and compliance protocols. Administer and maintain the ArcGIS Enterprise portal, including access control and security. Configure and manage complex utility network topology, rules, and trace analysis. Drive enhancements in network analysis and utility asset modeling. Oversee the lifecycle of GIS applications and integrations with enterprise platforms. Design and maintain custom GIS tools and applications. Ensure data quality, integrity, and alignment with regulatory and operational standards. Support geospatial analytics, automation, and system performance optimization. You have:
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in GIS and Utility Network management. Deep understanding of GIS principles, utility network analysis, and enterprise system governance. Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, and related tools; experience with ArcGIS Enterprise is essential. Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or SQL is an asset. Familiarity with cloud-based GIS solutions and enterprise integration. Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $79,000 - $126,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
