Geographic Information Systems Analyst

The Analyst, GIS role supports the Director of Market Development by maintaining GIS files, conducting spatial analysis, and providing insights for market planning and site selection. Responsibilities Carry out the maintenance and perform regular updates to the service delivery area GIS files for one of our largest brands, using MapInfo Pro Server; liaise with the brand team - identify new boundary areas and realign existing limits, provide data/insights on the sales impact of delivery boundary realignments, and obtain demographic information on restaurants for analysis and make recommendations on action items that enhance the operations of the restaurant Support the Real Estate Department in the primary research (e.g., identify major residential and commercial developments, major infrastructure projects, etc.) and data collection, relating to the creation of Site Approval Packages (SAP) that are presented at the monthly Real Estate Committee (REC) meeting Maintain and edit several geodatabases in QGIS and Sitewise Pro (SaaS platform) Provide general support to the Director, Market Development by updating market planning databases and/or any ad hoc spatial and analytical requests Skills University or College degree; must have spatial analysis knowledge and with a sound understanding of GIS tools and techniques (specifically MapInfo Pro Server, QGIS and Google Earth) Advanced analytical, organizational and research skills Excellent interpersonal and written/communication skills Ability to understand and interpret the application of GIS tools (e.g., MapInfoPro Server, QGIS, Google Earth, Google Maps) and other related technical applications (Sitewise Pro) and familiarity with G-Suite products (e.g., Sheets, Slides, etc.) Benefits Flexible/Hybrid work environment Annual Bonus & RRSP Matching 20% associate discount dining card and monthly dining allowance valid at participating Recipe brands Industry-leading benefits, wellness programs, and total rewards programs Company Overview Founded in 1883, Recipe Restaurant Group International is Canada's largest full-service restaurant company.
