Job Summary of General Merchandise Associate:
Responsible for delivering excellent customer service by actively engaging and assisting customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a tidy store environment, while following operational, merchandise, and loss prevention protocols.
Responsibilities of General Merchandise Associate:
Ā Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
Ā Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
Ā Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures
Ā Promotes credit and loyalty programs during customer interactions
Ā Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards
Ā Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
Ā Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
Ā Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
Ā Provides and accepts ongoing recognition and constructive feedback
Ā Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Ā Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
Ā Participates in safety awareness and maintenance of a risk-free environment
Ā Performs other duties as assigned
