General Maintenance
What You’ll Do:
● Maintain and operate battery changing station including removal and replacement of lift batteries (at applicable sites)
● Operates floor sweeper / scrubber to maintain facility floor
● General building maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry and painting
● Dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established OSHA and Wayfair safety policies and procedures
● Conduct daily/weekly preventative maintenance and completes daily log sheet
● Perform pre-operation checklist and verify all safety devices are functional at all times
● Maintain a clean and safe work area
● Complete work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents
● Perform other job-related duties as directed by Manager/Supervisor
● Maintain a good attendance record
Shift: Wed - Sat: 7AM-5:30PM
Pay:$21.50/hr
What You’ll Need:
● High School Diploma or Equivalent is a plus
● Strong mechanical aptitude and basic carpentry and maintenance experience including carpentry, painting, plumbing
● Experience safely using warehouse equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts and aerial lifts
● Proficient using hand and power tools and computers to perform required duties
● Previous battery charger/changer experience is a plus
● Must be flexible on working hours and willing to work scheduled & unscheduled overtime
● Ability to regularly bend, lift, stretch, crawl and reach, engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists and stand and walk for long periods
● Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs unassisted
● Ability to access all areas of the building by climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
● Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment that can be noisy and unlit
● Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
● Ability to work independently, as part of a team and take direction
● Must be a safety conscious, motivated, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude
