In this role, you will be responsible for developing and curating exclusive, private label furniture lines, managing product assortments, and collaborating with our vendor network to bring unique, on-trend collections to market. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of design trends, an analytical mindset, and extensive experience in private label product development.Key ResponsibilitiesPrivate Label Development:Lead end-to-end private label product development, ensuring product quality, innovation, and alignment with Kathy Kuo Home's brand standards.Collaborate with design, sourcing, and production teams to bring unique, high-quality furniture collections to market.Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate favorable pricing, and oversee cost analysis to optimize profitability.Product Merchandising & Assortment Management:Develop a strategic product assortment that reflects Kathy Kuo Home's aesthetic and meets customer demand across all sales channels.Conduct regular competitive and trend analyzes to identify new opportunities and enhance our market positioning.Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and make data-driven adjustments to optimize SKU mix and category profitability.Project Management:Work closely with supply chain, marketing, and sales teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.Manage timelines, budgets, and vendor communications to ensure projects are executed on schedule and within financial targets.Ensure compliance with quality standards and drive continuous improvement in product development processes.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Design, or a related field.5+ years of experience as a Furniture Merchant, Buyer, or Product Development Specialist, preferably with private label experience in the furniture or home decor industry.Demonstrated success in private label product development, from ideation to commercialization.Strong understanding of furniture market trends, materials, manufacturing processes, and consumer preferences.Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills.Proven project management experience with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
