What Will You Do as the Fund Accounting Manager – Joint Ventures (JVs) & Private Credit?
Arrived is scaling a national real estate and private credit platform, and our Fund Accounting Manager – JVs & Private Credit will own the accounting and reporting for our joint venture structures, with primary focus on a leveraged private credit JV investment vehicle, along with support for the Private Credit Fund and Opportunistic Fund.In this role, you’ll ensure complex partnership accounting, capital movements, and investment activity are accurate, audit-ready, and scalable as we grow. You’ll partner closely with Investments, Treasury, Operations, and our third-party fund servicer to keep financials clean and decision-ready.This is a great role for someone who enjoys building clean financial systems in complex, fast-moving environments.
JV Accounting Ownership (Primary Focus: Private Credit JV)
Own monthly close and financial reporting for JV entities, with primary ownership of a leveraged private credit JV structureMaintain partner capital accounts (contributions, distributions, ownership changes, APIC vs capital)Record and review equity and debt flows into and out of the JV, including Taxable REIT Subsidiary activity and intercompany movementsEnsure proper GAAP treatment for JV investments, eliminations, and partner allocationsPrepare audit-ready workpapers and support partner reporting
Fund Accounting (Private Credit + Opportunistic Fund)
Own monthly close and financial reporting for the Private Credit Fund and Opportunistic FundRecord investment activity including debt purchases, equity investments, interest accruals, and feesMaintain fund-level capital activity and partner allocationsSupport Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and investment performance reporting in partnership with FP&A and the Investments teamSupport audit, tax, and regulatory reporting with clean, well-documented schedules
Servicer + Cross-Functional Partnership
Own the accounting relationship with our third-party fund servicer (e.g., FCI) for JV and fund activityReview monthly servicer deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and GAAP alignmentTranslate servicer outputs into Arrived’s internal financial reporting and close processesPartner with Investments on deal structures and cash flow mechanics to ensure clean accounting setupPartner with Treasury and Investments to reconcile cash movements, warehouse lines, and capital flows
Build + Scale
Improve workflows, templates, close checklists, and quality control standardsHelp implement automation and system enhancements to reduce manual work and improve close speedIdentify repeatable failure points and turn them into durable process improvementsContribute to scalable accounting design for new JV and fund launches
Qualifications
5–8+ years of experience in JV accounting, fund accounting, private credit, private equity, or alternative investmentsDirect experience with partnership capital accounting and investment-level cash flow tracking for funds, private credit vehicles, or joint venturesStrong foundation in GAAP and partnership accounting (capital accounts, allocations, eliminations)Experience with investment accounting across debt and equity investments, including IRR and investment performance calculationsExperience working with third-party fund administrators or loan servicers and reconciling external investment activity to internal financial recordsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning ambiguous, evolving processesOwnership mindset: you solve problems and strengthen the process, not just complete tasksAuthorized to work in the U.S. and fluent in English
Nice to Haves
Experience with Taxable REIT Subsidiary structures, or credit facilitiesExperience in prop-tech, fin-tech, or regulated investment environmentsFamiliarity with accounting systems (e.g., Intacct) Comfort with automation, systems thinking, and process designPrior experience supporting audits for JV structures or private credit funds
