Fund Accountant - Private Equity

The purpose of this position is to carry out routine day-to-day accounting and administration on a portfolio of private equity investment funds under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager. Responsibilities • Assist with all aspects of accounting matters, including the bookkeeping of all transactions, and the preparation of quarterly reports and statutory financial statements • Assist with the completion of investor, client and audit queries • Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions • Prepare drawdown and distribution calculations plus notices on an ad hoc basis when requested by clients • Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of bookkeeping • Prepare and input payments for routine expenses, investment transactions and distributions to investors • Assist and support the induction, integration and training of Trainee staff Requirements • The candidate will be expected to be studying towards a relevant professional qualification (preferably having commenced ACCA Fundamental Skills level or ACA Professional level) • Computer literacy skills are essential • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required • Sound technical financial services knowledge (to be support through the Aztec Academy) Nice-to-haves • Some previous experience of training or mentoring junior staff is beneficial Benefits • Competitive salary • Discretionary bonus scheme • Flexible, hybrid working • Generous holiday allowance • Pension scheme • Private medical insurance, including eye care • Permanent health insurance • Life assurance (death in service and critical illness benefit) • Worldwide travel insurance • Ability to work abroad for up to 3 weeks per annum • Regular social events • Health and wellbeing programmes • On-site parking • Significant investment into your personal and professional development Apply tot his job
