We provide individualized, compassionate academic support designed to close gaps, build confidence, and improve long-term learning strategies.
Position Overview
We are seeking an online Private Academic Tutor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a teaching background and experience working with students who struggle academically or have learning differences. Tutoring sessions will take place via online video sessions. Most sessions are scheduled M-F during the hours of 10AM-4PM.
Responsibilities
• Provide one-on-one academic tutoring in reading, writing, and general academic support.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs, especially for students with ADHD, dyslexia, and executive functioning challenges.
• Create a supportive, encouraging learning environment that fosters growth and confidence.
• Communicate progress and updates with parents and Prometheus Minds leadership.
• Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and reliability.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required (education or related field preferred).
• Certified teacher or classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Prior tutoring experience, particularly with students who have learning differences, is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation to travel to in-home and library sessions.
Schedule & Pay
• Hours: 9-12 hours per week (Must be available between 10AM-4PM M-F).
• Pay: $30/hour, paid biweekly.
