Full-Time School Registered Nurse (RN) Job Opening
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time school-based role in Lansing, KS. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified professionals who are passionate about working with students in a school setting. Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in a school-based setting, you will provide essential nursing care to students, work closely with school staff, and play a vital role in the health and well-being of the student population. This is a contract position with the potential for renewal based on performance.
Job Duties Include:
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed for students
Monitoring student health and managing chronic health conditions
Developing and implementing individualized health plans for students
Performing health assessments and screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.)
Providing first aid and emergency care for students when necessary
Assisting with the development and implementation of special education health plans
Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other staff to ensure students' health needs are met
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Providing health education and guidance to students and staff
Maintaining accurate health records and documentation
Assisting with student health-related issues during school activities or field trips
Requirements:
Active RN license, in good standing, as required by the state of Kansas
Experience working in a school-based setting or with children, especially students with special education needs, is highly preferred
Ability to manage student health needs in a school environment
Knowledge of local and state regulations regarding school health services
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and support staff
Must pass all required background checks and screenings
