Position Type: Hourly, Contracted

Pay: $33.25-35.50/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher with a master’s degree or higher for a remote position. This role involves providing direct and indirect educational support to high school students with special needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver remote instruction and support tailored to the needs of high school students with special education requirements.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address students' specific needs and goals.
• Provide instruction across various subjects, adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate students' learning styles and needs.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Utilize teletherapy platforms effectively to conduct lessons and engage with students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, IEP documentation, and other relevant data.
• Provide guidance and strategies to parents and teachers to support students' academic and personal development.
• Participate in professional development and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in special education.

Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Special Education certification or license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching high school students with special education needs is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of high school educational processes, IEP development, and best practices in special education.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home office environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
