Full Time Bookkeeper
Jenny & Francois is a 25 year old wine importing/distribution company based in Tribeca. We specialize in boutique growers who produce some of the best natural wines in the world including in the US, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Greece and Georgia.
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper who has worked with Quickbooks, an equivalent accounting software or ERP. Also, experience with Microsoft Excel and Word are a must. The position will include managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation and month end close of the books. It will also include managing employee expenses.
Strong organizational skills, attention to details, accuracy when recording bookkeeping entries and ability to work both independently as well as within a team environment are necessary for success in this role.
This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits that include hybrid work schedule, comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, paid time off and holidays, 401k savings plan with company match and profit sharing.
Total per year compensation range: $55,000 - $75,000 + potential bonuses.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation and month end close of the books.
Managing employee expenses.
Processing customer payments and deposits.
Resolving inventory discrepancies with the warehouse and providing laid-in costs.
Ideating and implementing new processes around accounting needs as the company evolves and grows.
This position requires:
A minimum of 4 years previous bookkeeping services
An understanding of cost accounting
Proficiency with Quickbooks or an equivalent accounting platform or ERP
4-year college degree or equivalent
Ability to work independently
Organized, attention to details and accuracy with data and bookkeeping entries
Strong communication skills
Want to continuously learn and evolve with an evolving and growing company
Ability to multi-task and prioritize to-dos and meet deadlines
