Full Stack Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails, JavaScript required
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with experience using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript to execute the full lifecycle of the product development, by programming well-designed, efficient, and testable code that meets specifications.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails
ā¢ Build modern, responsive front-end interfaces using frameworks such as React, Vue, or Next.js
ā¢ Develop RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
ā¢ Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
ā¢ Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
ā¢ Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features
ā¢ Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
ā¢ Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
ā¢ Troubleshoot and debug production issues
Required Qualifications
ā¢ 4+ years of professional full stack development experience
ā¢ Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails
ā¢ Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+)
ā¢ Experience with at least one modern front-end framework:
ā¢ React (preferred), Vue, or Angular
ā¢ Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
ā¢ Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
ā¢ Experience with Git and modern version control workflows
ā¢ Solid understanding of object-oriented design and MVC architecture
ā¢ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
ā¢ Experience with TypeScript
ā¢ Experience with Hotwire / Turbo / Stimulus
ā¢ Experience with GraphQL
ā¢ Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
ā¢ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
ā¢ Knowledge of Redis, Sidekiq, background jobs
ā¢ Understanding of microservices architecture
ā¢ Experience implementing automated testing (RSpec, Capybara, Jest)
