WP Umbrella is looking for a Software Engineer to help scale and enhance our platform, which serves thousands of small business owners worldwide.In this role, you’ll work closely with our product team to develop new features, improve existing ones, and contribute to technical specifications, following SOLID principles. You’ll also tackle scalability challenges, ensuring our platform remains fast and reliable as we grow.Beyond writing clean, maintainable code, you’ll play a key role in optimizing performance, refining processes, and modernizing legacy components where needed. Our stack, using NodeJS, handles all the API and queue workers (BullMQ). You will also work with technologies such as Redis and Meilisearch. Our database is based on PostgreSQL.Each week we review the progress of our work and adjust our goals for the following week while keeping short, medium and long-term objectives in mind.Your MissionImplementation of new features in collaboration with the product teamBug fixing and development of existing features while contributing to technical specificationsSOLID developmentCreate and monitoring background processes.Contribute to the team's skill development: sharing best practices and code reviewWriting unit and functional testsHalf a day per week dedicated to R&D and contributing to automation of tasks and processes to streamline the company's operations.RequirementsYou have a deep knowledge of Node & TypeScript.You have a deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis.You test your code and you think “Clean Code”You enjoy adventure and thrive in fast-paced environments.You are autonomous but also a team player.You want to have a real impact on the development of a product.Bonus: knowledge of Meilisearch.Bonus: knowledge of WordPress or dev ops.BenefitsRemote work Flexible hours ⏰35 paid days off ⛺️Retreat at least once a year ✈️ Learning and training opportunities The yearly package for this job is between $60k and $66k based on performance.Originally posted on Himalayas
