We believe everyone can elevate their workflow with the latest AI tools.Join our global team of curious, adaptable technologists and problem-solvers who are passionate about making a real-world difference!We’re looking for a skilled and motivatedSenior Software Engineer to join Fairmatic and work closely with our teams in Tel Aviv and India for a 6-month initial contract.In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain scalable systems that power our claims experience — a critical part of our customer value proposition.We want to speak to both front-end and back-end experts - but ideally you'll have exposure to full-stack engineering.The ideal candidate is a product-minded engineer with strong experience in both front-end and back-end development, particularly with Python and React.A day in the life:Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern technologiesLead the design and implementation of robust, efficient technical solutionsCollaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver responsive and engaging user interfacesBuild and maintain RESTful APIs across both serverless and traditional architecturesEnsure performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility across applicationsPromote high engineering standards and mentor junior team membersWork closely with global cross-functional teams including Product, Data, and BusinessWhat you will need:5+ years of hands-on full stack development experienceBSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related fieldStrong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred; Angular or Vue also welcome)Solid backend experience, with a preference for Python (Node.js or Ruby also a plus)Experience working with cloud platforms and distributed systems (AWS is a strong plus)Proven track record delivering production-grade applicationsDeep understanding of databases, APIs, and web technologiesProficiency with GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Co-pilot, ChatGPT, Cursor etc.) to boost productivity, plus a growth mindset around continuously improving personal and team efficiency through AIPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with both serverless (e.g., AWS Lambda) and non-serverless architecturesBackground in insurance or related industriesComfort working with remote, distributed teams across time zonesOriginally posted on Himalayas
